Fresh Scents for Makers

These fragrance oils are grounding. Hints of clean air, rain, and herbs have a way of slowing things down. As you envision your next product line, consider using some fresh fragrances.

What You Can Make with Fresh Fragrance Oils

  • Candles: Craft some fresh candles to light once you've finished cleaning the house. Consider After the Rain Fragrance Oil or Fresh Snow Fragrance Oil.
  • Shower bars and shampoo bars: Create a rejuvenating shower experience with herbal scents. Rejuvenating Eucalyptus Fragrance Oil and Spearmint Eucalyptus Fragrance Oil are perfect for these.
  • Linen and room sprays: Refresh any space with room mist. Our favorite fragrances are Moonstone Mist Fragrance Oil and Crisp Cotton Fragrance Oil.
  • Wax melts: Release the fragrance slowly with low heat wax melts. Tuscan Juniper and Myrtle Fragrance Oil and Cardamom and Cedar Fragrance Oil are a great choice.

Fresh Scents and Natural Additives

Bramble Berry offers an array of natural botanicals to boost any product. Fresh scents pair especially well with jasmine flowers, orange peel powder, and green tea extract. Flowers can be used to add visual texture to cold process soaps and bath bombs. The options are endless for creative makers.

When you are making candles with fresh fragrance oils, do not be concerned if the scent seems faint right after pouring. Test the scent strength after the candles are fully cured. It can take time for the fragrance to bind to the wax. If you want to explore a wider range of scents for your candle line, we offer candle fragrance oils that are designed specifically for candle making.

Why does my fresh-scented soy candle smell strong unlit, but weak when burning?

Soy wax needs at least 10 to 14 days to cure before the fragrance oil fully binds with the wax and reaches its best hot throw. Testing too early is the most common reason fresh scents seem to underperform in soy candles.

What is the difference between a room spray and a linen spray?

A room spray is misted into the air as a general freshener. A linen spray is spritzed directly onto fabric like bedding, curtains, or towels.

Can I add dried flowers or botanicals to a fresh-scented candle?

Dried botanicals are not recommended inside a candle because they can catch fire. If you want to beautify your candle, you can choose a decorative jar or tin. Dried flowers and botanicals can be used in other products such as cold process soap, perfume rollers, and bath bombs.

Can I use Brambleberry's fresh fragrances in cold-process soap making?

Yes. Check the performance notes on each fragrance page before you start. Bramble Berry tests every fragrance for cold-process soap making and documents how it behaves at trace.
