Building a Men's Product Line with Fragrance Oils

Many makers use these fragrance oils to create masculine soaps and candles. Consider blending our fragrance oils for soap making with these masculine scents to customize your perfect product line for men.

Use the Bramble Berry Fragrance Calculator to confirm usage rates by application. Depending on the product you are making, ratios will vary. When using fragrance oils for candle making, the usage rate is generally higher than leave-on products like lotions.

Will these masculine fragrance oils discolor my cold process soap?

Some of these scents contain vanilla, which can turn cold process soap brown over time. Each product page includes discoloration notes from our in-house testing so you know what to expect before you pour.

Do these fragrance oils smell the same in a finished product as they do straight from the bottle?

The scent can shift slightly depending on the product you are making. In cold process soap, some notes may deepen or soften after curing. In candles, the scent will smell different when the wax is burning versus cold. Since the fragrance is highly concentrated in the bottle, the scent will stabilize once it is combined with other product ingredients.

Are these fragrance oils safe to use in a deodorant formulation?

Bramble Berry fragrance oils are skin safe at the correct usage rate. Since deodorant is a leave-on product the approved rate will be lower than soap or candles. Always check the IFRA usage rate for leave-on products on each individual product page before formulating.
