I have a small business I do on the side with soaps and had a customer request a bird mold for her wedding soaps, so I ordered this mold and I'm SO disappointed. I have other hard plastic molds from bramble berry and they are VERY hard to get the soap out of, I read you can put them in the freezer for a couple minutes but even after a couple minutes of them being in there they usually start to sweat and then I feel like the soap is ruined. This one is by far harder than the other molds, I emailed customer support because of the issue, I was told to try and spray the alcohol before adding any soap in but that didn't work. I was still fighting with the mold to get the soap out (which is still in the mold right now because I was only to get one out) I tried to do the bird one color and the rest of the bar another, and on my first two batches all the bird designs cracked right off the bar. The only reason I have this mold 2 stars is for for the cute design, but all in all these plastic molds are a nightmare and I feel like there should be some kind of warning on here about that, or something should be done with these molds. I've had an issue with this mold from the beginning when one out of the two that were sent to me were ruined by the fragrance oils spilling out in the shipment. I don't think I will be ordering anymore, plus shipping and turn around time take forever and is way too expensive

Great for melt & pour soaps

This is a lovely mold and worked perfectly with a batch of melt & pour with lavender eo added and another with rosemary eo. Easy as can be. I can't wait to make more!

Great first MP mold

This was the first mold I used, the first time ever making MP soap. Every bar came out perfectly, and I was hooked! My soaps looked just like the photo, or better.

Love the look of this mold and wanted to make tons of gift soaps for my bird loving son and new wife's wedding but couldn't get the cp soap out of the mold. I tried everything. I got a couple good bars but most were just stuck to the mold and basically a mess. This is the second type of these molds I have tried to use and will not purchase again. Using them is more frustrating than functional. Maybe they be used only for mp soaps.

Hi Kerri! I'm sorry to hear you are having some trouble removing your soap. When making cold process soap with heavy duty molds, they often need a little extra time in the mold in order to remove. I would recommend letting them sit in the mold for about a week before attempting to remove. I would also recommend popping your soap in the freezer for 1 to 24 hours, this often helps release the soap. Using a larger proportion of hard oils like Cocoa Butter and Palm Oil can help as well :) I will be emailing you personally to help you troubleshoot, so please look for my email!
