I used this color block in my Bramble berry clear M&P. It looked a light ugly tan color, but thought after it was melted and incorporated it would brighten up. It was a putrid dark orange. No brightness at all. I tried to salvage my batch by adding fizzy lemonade color to brighten it. Unfortunately I ran out of that and ended up just pouring it in a bar mold. :(
Terah from Bramble Berry replies...Hi Tamara! I'm sorry you did not find this color to be bright enough to your liking. The Fizzy Lemonade Colorant or Color Block would be a great blending color to brighten the Non-Bleeding Perfect Orange Color Block. Though if you're looking for other, brighter oranges you may like the Non-Bleeding Tangerine Wow! Color Block or the Liquid Orange.
I bought this color block with my last order a few weeks ago. It is nothing like the picture shows. Mine is like a light yellow and when used in melt and pour. The picture shows a vibrant orange and that's not what I got. So disappointed and this is the only orange you stock? Im rating it a 2 because I am not happy with the color .
Terah from Bramble Berry replies...Hi Leslie! I'm sorry you were disappointed in this colorant. We love our Non-Bleeding Perfect Orange Color Block and found it to make a wonderfully bright orange as seen in our Orange Slice Soaps tutorial. The brightness of color you get depends on how much of the color block you use and the color of the base you are coloring. An opaque base, like our Goat Milk Melt and Pour, will not give you as vibrant results as a translucent base, like the Clear Melt and Pour Soap Base, would.
In my goat milk base, this turned out to be a nice pastel orange. It was still very vibrant and fun.
Works better for me in clear soap, I sold out in the first day using 10X Orange scent and this coloring in bars. I'm not a huge fan of the pale orange that goes on in the white soap bases, though I'm sure if you use more you'll get it darker.
