Quality dependent on environment.

I live in one of the most humid locales on the planet, because of this, using the color blocks rather than the mica itself is a bad idea. Soaps that I had no issues with dewing previously cannot stop beading up when using the blocks (which is a sadness since the blocks are so convenient and a great idea!). If i lived some place drier or had better climate control I think they would be great, but for me they are no good.

Hi Samantha! I'm sorry this color block wasn't your favorite. Because these color blocks have a high glycerin content, they can develop glycerin dew in humid climates. To prevent this, you can leave your unmolded soaps in front of a fan. You can also wrap them in plastic wrap and use a heat gun to adhere the plastic tightly. For more tips, check out this blog post on sweating called Augh! What's THAT All Over My Soap? I'll be emailing you personally to discuss this!

Easy, GORGEOUS color for .08 cents a gram or less!

No mess, no fuss (unless you accidentally drop the color block into your hot soap..ehem...who did that?!) these create gorgeous colors and are easy to use. Just shave off the amount you need with the clean up tool from "the Bramble". To get the color as concentrated as the block itself you need to use the suggested amount of 4 grams. The total block weighs 20 grams (which isn't specified in the description) so you get anywhere between 5 - 20 uses or more! I used a small amt. abt 1 gram. These blocks only cost .08 cents per gram! .32 cents at full strength per lb of soap (4-4oz bars) or .08 cents per bar! So my gram cost me .02 cents/4 oz bar!! Two cents! Granted that was a small amt-even mixed with 2 grams of another color block we're talkin .06 cents/4 oz bar. Just think how inexpensive it would be in the 1.75 - 2 oz guest molds! I'll tell you hehe - At full strength that comes to abt .04 cents per bar!! 4 cents! Can we say VALUE! Shhh don't tell Anne-Marie!
