I really LOVE the look of the bars, but I tried every suggestion I could find to unmold the soap, including a call to Brambleberry. I used stearic acid in the batch. I oiled the mold. I put the tray in the freezer. No luck. I ended up having to cut it down the center to get my soap out. That's just bad. I wish these were easier to work with, or available in silicone. This is my second experience. Last time I threw out the mold with the soap still in it.
Kelsey from Bramble Berry replies...Hi Alexis! I'm sorry you had trouble removing your soap from the mold. Removing cold process soap from these hard plastic molds can be tricky. Cold process takes longer to remove from the mold due to restricted airflow. One trick that will definitely help is first rubbing the mold down with an oil that does not saponify, like Cyclomethicone.
