While the soap is fine and beautiful there is no fragrance. I have a good sense of smell and there is almost no scent at all with this soap. I was hoping for something more Christmas like. It won't be wasted though. Like I said it is a beautiful loaf of soap.
Terah from Bramble Berry replies...Hi Debbie! I'm so glad you though our Cranberry Fig CP Soap was beautiful! Though, I'm sorry you were disappointed in the scent. I got a bar of the soap to try and the Cranberry Fig does have a pretty mild scent. I will email you personally to resolve this issue.
I'm not sure what I expected with the fragrance.... Maybe something along the lines of ....Cranberry Fig. The bars, when cut and dried, are beautiful but the fragrance is...well...disappointing. I compared it to the OOB smell. In the bottle you get that tart cranberry and the subtle quirky smell of what I guess is fig. I've never smelled anything but a Fig Newton and it doesn't really smell like that and I'm not sure what a real fig smells like so I'm guessing I'm smelling the "Fig" part. The bars smell just like that ....the "Fig" part. There is no cranberry aroma that I can tell. Scent is subjective and I'm not taking off points cuz my nose can't decipher the Cranberry. It's a lovely loaf which cuts into beautiful bars. The lather is creamy and appears to be moisturizing. Just wish it had more of a cranberry "holiday" smell to it.
Reply from Bramble BerryHi Carrie! I'm so glad you like this soap! As far as the scent, we choose all our scents based on how they smell after six weeks of curing in cold process soap, as they do smell different out of the bottle. I'll be emailing you personally to discuss this!
Although the soap looks great for the holidays and is nice and hard, I did not care for the fragrance. It smells like a detergent soap not Cranberry Fig. In my description to customers, I just say it is a mild smelling soap.
