40/42 Lavender EO

I've ordered this so many times and it never fails to emit a beautiful scent from my soap.

Lavender Fans Love

I have ordered this Lavender 40/42 several times and it is true to fragrance each time I order it. It works well in soaps and lotions, but I have found you need to use it sparingly in lotions so it won't be overpowering. True lavender fans love this one - it is not the artificial lavender fragrance.

GREAT!

This EO worked wonderfully in my CP soaps. My "test" bars have been on shelf for 2 years and the scent is still as strong. It will be a new addition to my offerings.

Smells good

I think this blend holds up pretty good to the other lavenders. It sticks in my cold process soap well and gives me no trouble. I also use it in blends and sprays. No evidence to me that it doesn't work as well as the other lavender oils, so I'm pleased with it.

Still looking...

...I've been using this lavender for quite a while now and think I will have to try another. It's nice, but even at a high concentration, fades way to quickly in my CP soap. I will try once more with a purple brazilian clay as a colorant to see if the clay will hold onto the scent better but it'll be my last try! I also get a ton of soda ash with this, more than with any other EO or FO that I have used and this is with both gelled & CP soap. :(:(:(

Hi Vicki! I'm glad you like our Lavender 40/42 Essential Oil, though I'm sorry you had troubles with it fading in your cold process soap. We love this EO and find it lasts wonderfully in CP when added at .8 oz per pound of soap for a strong scent, found using our Handy Dandy Fragrance Calculator. To help fragrance/essential oils last in your soap through the cure some soapers dip a cotton ball in the scent and place it by the soap while curing.
