This book is good. The shampoo bar recipe on page 28 did not work out to well for me. Not sure if was because I used silk coconut milk from the carton, or I am using extra virgin olive oil. But it came out way to hard and had water like beads that felt like oil when you touched it. I just need to know where I might have gone wrong. If any body can give some advice that would be great. Other than that this book is great.
Terah from Bramble Berry replies...Hi Lucy! I'm so glad you enjoyed this Making Milk Soap from Scratch book. Though, I'm sorry you had trouble with the shampoo bar recipe. We do not recommend soaping with Silk coconut milk because of all the additives in it. You want something as close to straight coconut milk as possible, I've normally found it in a can. I will email you directly to find out more about the steps you took and to help troubleshoot!
