Silicone embed molds can be pricey, but not this one! Easy to use in M&P, the stars are the perfect size! Can't go wrong with this mold!
Not good for Cold Process Soap. This is my third attempt, and the soap has difficult time releasing from the mold. Each attempt has ended badly. This seems like it would work well as a candy mold.
Terah from Bramble Berry replies...Hi Rachel! I'm sorry you're having a hard time unmolding your cold process soap from this mold. Before pouring your batter in try putting some oil down on the mold that will not saponify like Cyclomethicone or mineral oil. A harder recipe, using harder harder oils will make the unmolding process easier as well. You can also try to put your mold in the freezer before trying to remove your soap. This definitely helps the soap pop out! I will email you personally to discuss this further.
I find that this mold is sturdy and I like being able to make so many stars with a relatively small amount of soap. I so far have used the stars as embeds and it works well. I think a clear soap around the imbed will be my next try.
