Shaving Melt and Pour Base - Our shaving soap has lots of luxurious lather with none of the chemicals that most soap bases rely on! This soap base is easy to use and fairly clear, so it's great for embedding ground loofah or glitter.

This shave soap is super popular-I add a touch of bentonite clay to help with slip. It's really easy to work with, and is always quick to sell.
I add a small slice of this base to amp up the suds in our M&P bases, because I add so many extras to our soaps. This stuff is great and adds just the right amount of extra lather!
I love this base, adding some unrefined shea butter, licorice extract, alfalfa extract, blue clay, and added essential oil of cedarwood, sandalwood and tonka bean.
I have now used this as a shampoo, ahhh not so good. lots of sudsing going on. I tried this right off the block with no added color or scent.
I dont use a razor often so as a shaving bar this would be wasted on me, but if it leaves the skin feeling moist and smooth for shaving then it should be a great all around bath and body bar. Just not for the hair.
Terah from Bramble Berry replies...Hi Mike! I'm sorry you were disappointed with this base as a shampoo. We love the Shaving Melt and Pour Base! It has the most lather of all our bases, making it perfect for shaving! While the melt and pour bases can technically be used for the hair, they are not meant for the hair and can be a little harsh. For a shampoo bar specifically meant for the hair check out our Invigorating Shampoo Bars tutorial!
I was really excited to get this soap!
Makes an excellent "shave" soap, I just added Bentonite clay and Rain Fragrance oil to give the bar a fresh scent and my husband went nuts! He said it gave him a very slick shave!!
Also lathered very nicely too, I have had many ladies buy this from me also and they just love this also...Keep up the great work Bramble Berry!! Please do not stop selling this soap base it is great!!
