Description

Water-soluble honeyquat is an excellent addition to DIY lotion, shampoo, and conditioner. It draws in moisture so skin and hair stay hydrated all day long. It is a cationic conditioner that binds to negatively charged skin to create a conditioning and moisturizing effect. Under normal physiological conditions, the outermost layer of human skin carries a net negative charge. Because of this binding, Honeyquat is an effective, non-sticky humectant. Honeyquat is temperature sensitive, so it is added in the cool-down phase under 120 degrees F. In haircare products, Honeyquat enhances hair wet-combability and contributes to moisturizing and smoothing. Being 'cationic' means it carries a positive charge, allowing it to readily bind to the negatively charged surfaces of hair and skin, providing conditioning and moisturizing benefits. This product is preserved by .2% Sorbic Acid.

Honeyquat is derived from real honey and has similar properties to liquid glycerin. Try it today for an extra moisture and conditioning boost in haircare, skincare and bodycare.
