Description
Fractionated Coconut Oil MCT is a lightweight, fast-absorbing carrier oil made from coconut that’s rich in caprylic (C8) and capric (C10) fatty acids, so it feels silky on the skin without a greasy afterfeel. It’s clear, virtually odorless, and versatile. It is used in a wide variety of products from massage oils and serums to scrubs, bath products, and hair treatments.
- Lightweight emollient that absorbs quickly, leaving skin soft and conditioned, not heavy or greasy.
- Non-greasy, non-comedogenic texture makes it a popular choice for facial oils, body oils, and massage blends.
- Stable, clear base that lets your fragrances and essential oils shine without competing scent or color
Formulation notes
- Use on its own as a simple body or massage oil, or blend with other fixed oils for customized textures.
- Typically added to the oil phase of emulsions; works well across a wide range of product types thanks to its stability.
- Can be used in cold process soap up to 30%.
- In leave-on products, like lotions and serums, pairs especially well with fast-absorbing esters (like isopropyl myristate) and silicones (like cyclomethicone) and dry oils for an ultra-light, elegant skin feel.
