Fresh and freespirited

I can't tell you how this fragrance performs in CP soaps. I use this in my body lotion because I wanted an exotic fresh sexy and liberating scent I could use in an all over body lotion that you would put on before going out of an evening instead of perfume. It's so luxurious smelling high end expensive smelling that can be overpowering in a body lotion at first. But the fragrance fades eventually, so don't worry about that. It's a best seller in body lotion and for my soaps I use Kentish Rain. Amazon Lily is decidedly feminine and exotic and natively seductive. Very clean smelling and I revel in lavishing on this body cream after a shower. The title says it all. Imagine a young nubile lady stepping out into her green garden during a summer rain. Uninhibited with her faced upwards lapping up the fresh rain and new green smells of her blooming garden. I was not disappointed with this fragrance and it's perfect for body lotions. Already a winner a market stores.

Somewhat disappointed

Although the fragrance was very nice, it did accelerate trace quickly. I had just poured the batter (with fragrance) into two pots to colour up) and when I added the colour they were both like mashed potato. I had to blitz them to make them both smooth again(making it worse in the process). My pour ended up being a 'plop' and the swirling was a little difficult to get through. I mixed at below 49 celsius, so this may have to be a lot cooler. I used the recommended medium amount as per the fragrance calculator.

I'm glad you like the smell of our Amazon Lily & Rain Fragrance Oil though it definitely does accelerate in cold process soap. For help working around this check out our How to Soap with Accelerating Fragrance Oils blog post.

The fragrant smells lovely and I had very high hopes for my soap. But it did not stick even when using clay to bind with it

We found the Amazon Lily & Rain Fragrance Oil was strong when used at 0.8 oz per pound of cold process soap with the Fragrance Calculator. We do choose all of our fragrance oils based on a full 6 week cure time when the scent comes back stronger so you may like it better then. user error

I'm giving this fragrance four stars because I love the way it smells. Unfortunately I didn't read some of the reviews below and my soap did not turn out the way I planned due to accelerated trace. Lesson learned, part of it right? I will wait until my oils and lye are way below 120 degrees before using this fragrance. I will still have a great smelling soap but it will sadly not have the design I wanted on top.

Not my scent

Everyone loves the name but I as well as most of those who have tried this scent in my soap have been disapointed. However with that said, it seems to be one of those you love it or hate it smells. Some folks did really like it.

Hi Crystal! I'm sorry this scent got mixed reviews for you! The Amazon Lily & Rain Fragrance is a nice light floral blend though it also is reminiscent of fresh laundry. If you're looking for other floral blends with a greener scent you may prefer Dogwood and Ginger Blossom Fragrance Oil, Crisp Apple Rose Fragrance Oil, or Blooms and Berries Fragrance Oil.
