Great for bath fizzies!

I really enjoyed this scent, as did many of my customers. I haven't tried it in soap yet, but it is amazing in bath fizzies!

total miss

This fragrance is just weird to me. Didn't have any trouble soaping with it (cold process) but now that the soap has cured it just has a faint cocoa smell. Not bad but no maple smell or anything else.

Hi Linda! I'm glad our Vermont Maple Fragrance Oil soaped well for you, though I'm sorry it was not what you were expecting. We love the maple, coffee, orange peel and wood notes in this scent. If you're looking for other scents with a maple note, you may prefer our Pumpkin and Brown Sugar Fragrance Oil or Cinnamon Sticks Fragrance Oil.

Scent is not for me.

I loved the thought of this fragrance and was excited to try it but to us it just doesn't smell so good in the M&P honey soap that I made. My husband used it in the shower and made a point to tell me he didn't like it and usually he doesn't say much either way and just uses whatever I give him to try! I have to say that I didn't care for it either - I don't think it smells like maple at all - just an odd scent that I can't put my finger on! I will try this in a wax melt and see if it smells better. It still may be a winner.

Hi JB! I'm sorry this fragrance wasn't your favorite. We love the warm and rich blend of our Vermont Maple Fragrance Oil. If you're looking for other sweet scents, you may like Burnt Sugar Fragrance Oil, Gingersnap Fragrance Oil or Hazelnut Toffee Fragrance Oil.

OOB Awesome! Looses Maple & other notes in CP

I bought the 4-pack, 2 oz (each) set and found this wonderful to work with in CP soap. I didn’t get any acceleration and my mouth watered the whole time I was smelling it while soaping - I couldn’t stop smelling it, it was so wonderful. However shortly after it started curing, it lost all the Maple scent and I did get a bit of a chemical scent others mentioned. At 4 weeks there was still no Maple scent, but it lost the chemical scent and smelled very masculine and warm. It’s fully cured now (6+ weeks old) and has a hint of the Maple back. It’s very light with 2 oz used in 2.5 lbs of soap. Nice scent, but disappointing after all the Maple sugar oob. And I don’t smell the hint of orange peel, blackberries, or coffee.

Hi Sylvia! I'm so glad you loved the scent out of bottle, though I'm sorry it cured to less of a maple scent than you were expecting. If you're looking for other scents with a maple note, you may prefer our Pumpkin and Brown Sugar Fragrance Oil or Cinnamon Sticks Fragrance Oil.

This scent surprised me.

I ordered this in the sample group and I was very excited to get it. I made a 2 lb batch of cp soap, and it behaved very well and the soap turned out wonderful. My surprise was the scent of the soap in the shower. To me, it smelled just like tobacco, I'm not a smoker, but that is what it reminded me of maybe that is the Vermont part of it, but I just thought it totally smelled like I had a tobacco leaf in the shower with me. All in all, the smell was't horrible, it justs wasn't what I expected.

Hi Rosalind! I'm sorry this scent wasn't what you were expecting. We love the sticky sweet scent of our Vermont Maple Fragrance Oil, though it does have some underlying notes of wood and fallen leaves that you may be picking up on! If you're looking for other seasonal sweet scents you may like Pumpkin Souffle Fragrance Oil, Almond Biscotti Fragrance Oil, or Cinnamon Sticks Fragrance Oil.
