Description

4 oz Plastic Bail Jar: This jar is perfect if you're looking for a smaller alternative to our 8 oz bail jar.  Made from PET plastic and metal hardware this jar is great for products used in the shower or other places where dropping the container could be dangerous. Great for packaging lotions, salts and scrubs. In our tests this jar was water tight and did not leak, but you should test your specific recipe before packaging and shipping to be sure.

Dimensions: 3" wide X 2-1/2" tall

Labeling areas: Top of lid 2 1/4" circle | Sides 8" long x 1" tall | Bottom of jar 1" circle

Note: Due to the extra accessories, this plastic jar is not recyclable.

If ordering smaller than case quantities, containers are placed in a paper or plastic bag together before being added to the shipping box and packaged for safe delivery to you.

low profile bail jar
Was excited to find these jars as I wanted an attractive jar for my sugar scrubs. I am disappointed - the oils are leaking, the opening and closing of the jar is cumbersome and I feel like I spent wayyyy too much for what I got.

Hi Debbie! I'm sorry these jars weren't your favorite. In our tests and recipes, we found they didn't leak, as seen in this How to Throw a DIY Sugar Scrub Party + Recipe post. However, your jar may not be working properly. I'll be emailing you personally to discuss this!

Disappointed, Dangerous to Open Bail Jar
I purchased this bail jar to use to package my homemade butters and to keep them fresher longer. However, every time I attempted to open the bail jar, the lid would pop up and out at me. It is very tricky to open without hurting your fingers. I wanted to like this product, but sadly I feel that it is too "dangerous" to open. I was considering using this bail jar to give away some of my butters to others, but I do not want them to struggle to open the jar and hurt themselves.

Hi Sylvia! Because bail jars are water tight, they require a firm seal. I would recommend placing one hand on the top of the lid, while opening with your other hand to avoid the lid popping up. If these bail jars are not your favorite, you may prefer a jar with a twist off lid. The 4 oz. White Twist Cap Jars would be perfect!

1st time Winner
First time ever coming across Brambleberry and usually I am skeptical about online shopping especially when using my credit card. But this time I took a chance after reading the blog, fb, and tumblr. And let me tell you, I am so happy and grateful that I got this package and it's literally everything I needed and more. These little suckers are cute and it's the perfect size (I got the 4oz) for my shop. When I make body butters I now have a container to put them into. I've been searching high and low and have stayed up till the middle of the night searching and when I was about to give up and go to bed, This came up and I went crazy. Thank you for having this option and the packaging was great too. Each peace was solid and I can't wait to use them. Will be ordering A LOT more. —proud 1st timer

Lovely jars!
i just used these lovely jars for whipped shea butter (Anne-Marie's recipe on Soap Queen tv), and they look great. I had to tap them a couple times to be sure they were plastic--they really look like glass jars. I dropped one on our tile floor, and no scratches. They're weighty like glass, and there definitely was an airtight seal when I opened each one. These are definitely on the reorder list.

Sturdy, nice looking packaging!
I got these, as well as the 8oz plastic bail jars, and they are great. They're sturdy, and have a bit of weight to them (much like the real glass jars), but they also have a little "give" to them as well. I've already dropped 3 of the 8oz jars (me an my butterfingers, D'OH) and there's not a scratch, dent, or chip on them. They also look so nice that they look exactly like the glass jars. It's not until you touch it (and almost not even then) that you realize it's plastic. I can't wait to get my Butter Cream and Snickerdoodle sugar scrub into these bad boys!
