Blue Man: This is a duplication of the popular men’s cologne, Aquolina Blue Sugar. The base note of Black Patchouli blends perfectly with Orange Peel, Sparkling Mandarin, Coriander Leaves, Star Anise and Venezuela Tonka. It’s surprisingly sweet and majorly masculine. Discolors to a light brown and does great in cold process.

I did not like this.
I normally love patchouli but for some reason, I could not get along with this fragrance. Out of the bottle, it just slaps you in the face with its strength. The description says "surprisingly sweet and majorly masculine". The former is distinctly true, but I'm just not feeling the latter.

Hi Maria! I'm sorry this fragrance wasn't your favorite. It will smell different out of bottle than it will in soap. We buy all our fragrances based on how they smell after six weeks of curing in cold process soap. If you're looking for masculine scents, you may like Tobacco and Bay Leaf Fragrance Oil, Mahogany Fragrance Oil, or Dragon's Blood Fragrance Oil.

Amazing in CP - can't keep it in stock
I bought this to add to my line of soaps for men, however I find that I sell more of this to women then to men. It holds up really well in CP and the scent sticks. It mellows from OOB which is very strong, to me, and holds up well in CP. I don't have any problems soaping with this, and I soap at fairly high temps. I can't keep this one in stock at shows. Once people smell it the snatch it up.

Blue Man
Do not judge this FO out of the bottle. It's sickly sweet from the bottle, but in CP it mellows out into a wonderful masculine, sweet scent. This FO does not smell like other Blue Sugar dupes oob, but once cured, it smells the same to me. Very strong. Discolors medium brown. If you like Blue Sugar, you won't be disappointed in the final CP soap. I let mine cure at least 4 weeks and by then it's perfect.

I can't smell this in CP
Blue Man smells great out of the bottle. It would be wonderful in MP and perhaps men's lotion. But, I've used this twice now in CP and can't smell it. The first batch is 2 months old. The other one was just made yesterday. I'm generally very happy with BB fragrances, but this one just doesn't hit the mark with cold process.

Hi Michelle! I’m sorry to hear this fragrance did not behave well for you. I will be contacting you personally to help you troubleshoot this problem. We generally recommend using .7 ounces of fragrance oil per pound of cold process, but if you like a stronger scent, you could certainly increase this amount. Thanks for taking the time to leave a review!

Favorite Men's Fragrance Ever!!
I was initially hesitant to purchase this fragrance, as I strongly dislike patchouli and anise. However, I had heard from lots of people that it was great, and it happened to be on sale! I fell in love with it right away, right out of the bottle. It is my most popular men's soap, and many women love it as well. In my recipe, it is more of a medium to dark brown, so I usually keep a portion unscented, so I can swirl some blue through it!
