Making jelly rolls with melt and pour soap is easy, fast and fun! This tutorial will focus on how to make Jelly Rolls out of melt and pour soap and teach you how to embed them into a melt and pour base to create a variation on two melt and pour technique. The project takes about 45 minutes to complete.
What You'll Need:
Super Pearly White Color Block
Fizzy Lemonade Color Block
1 teaspoon Aqua Pearl Mica
62 oz Clear Melt and Pour Soap Base
.7 oz Santa's Spruce Fragrance Oil
2 ml Cranberry Chutney Fragrance Oil
1 oz Liquid Glycerin
Glossy Silicone Square Tray Mold
ONE: Melt 6 ounces of clear melt and pour soap base in the microwave with a few slivers of the Fizzy Lemonade Color Block. To learn more about how to use Bramble Berry's color blocks, check out this blog post. Once melted, add 1 mL of Cranberry Chutney Fragrance Oil and .5 ounces of Liquid Glycerin. Pour this mixture into brownie tray mold, spritz with rubbing alcohol to get rid of any air bubbles and allow to harden for approximately 10 minutes or until a very thick skin, capable of supporting another layer, has formed.
TWO: Once the first layer has begun to harden, melt 6 ounces of Clear Melt and Pour Soap Base in the microwave. Once melted add in 1 teaspoon Aqua Pearl Mica already predispersed in 1 tablespoon of rubbing alcohol, 1 mL of Cranberry Chutney Fragrance Oil and .5 ounces of liquid glycerin. Spritz the first layer with rubbing alcohol and pour, ensuring that the entire area is covered. Let harden for 15-20 minutes
THREE: Once soap has begun to harden, carefully pop out the entire block of soap from the brownie tray mold. Cut jellies into strips that are .5 to 1 inch in width and begin to roll. With a firm grip, quickly start to roll the soap up, massage it into a tighter roll to keep together. To learn more about rolling soap, check out this link.
FOUR: Once all the strips have been rolled, place into brownie tray mold and spray liberally with rubbing alcohol.
FIVE: Melt 50 ounces of clear melt and pour soap base and add a small amount (2-3 slivers) of the Super Pearl White Color Block. Mix well to ensure full dispersal and add .7 ounces of Santa's Spruce Fragrance Oil. Once mixed in pour the melted soap into brownie tray around the jelly rolls until until mold is full.
SIX: Once hard, pop out the soap carefully and cut into desired shape and size.
