Reply from Bramble Berry Hi Lynne! I'm sorry the Liquid Brown Iron Oxide wasn't your favorite. In our tests and recipes we found this colorant can make a beautiful and vibrant reddish-brown hue. If you're looking for a deeper brown you just might love our Cappuccino Mica! The Liquid Brown Oxide is also supposed to go opaque as this is what all oxides do! If you're wanting a clear color I would recomend using our LabColors for M&P soap I'll be emailing you personally to discuss this further.
