I made some red wine cold process soaps. Some were scented with the Berrywine scent and some with this Red Wine.
Nobody liked the Berrywine. But everyone adores this red wine scent!!!
It is very grape-berry smell like dry red wine except sweeter. But not too sweet to become annoying.
I really loved it and so did everyone who smelled it. Everything I made was gone within seconds!!!
I definitely need to buy this one by the gallons!
I'm not sure how I feel about this one. The smell is very pleasant out of the bottle, but it simply isn't a wine scent at all to me. I'm disappointed because the recipe I had in mind was a wine recipe, so I was really hoping to get a true wine scent.
I've had a few other people smell it and asked them to guess the scent. They all thought it was some sort of fruity candy or bubblegum. They were shocked when I told them it was supposed to be red wine. I know the smell can change a bit when you actually use it in soap, but it would need to do a complete transformation for it to smell at all like wine to me.
If you're looking for a true wine scent, this isn't it. The berry wine is much closer to smelling like actual wine. It's still a nice scent and I will use it, it just isn't what I was hoping for.
Terah from Bramble Berry replies...Hi there! I'm so glad you found our Red Wine (Candle & Soap) Fragrance pleasant. Though, I'm sorry it wasn't what you were hoping for. We love this scent and find it to be a great complement to wine themed project with the rich berry notes. If you're looking for other drink inspired scents you may like Bordeaux Blend Fragrance Oil, Pinot Grigio Fragrance Oil, or Champagne Fragrance Oil.
What a great smell and my customers love it
I want to make a Wine & Rose soap for Valentine for 12 friends, instead of candy. I ordered this scent and now I cannot stop opening the bottle to sniff that's how good it smells. It actually has a nice sweet fragrance. Now, I'm debating if I should use crushed rose petals as well ... I was just going to use my heart mold with a rose in it, this fragrance, and merlot mica for coloring ... but now maybe I should put some crushed rose petals in the soap with this fragrance for a nice rosey wine scent? Also, if I want a nice red wine coloring, how much merlot mica should I use? Love this scent!
