nice smell in the bottle but I agree with the others. Totally faded in my cp soap. I did combine it with the basil eo to tame the licorace smell in the basil and so far like the combo so it's not a total loss.
Terah from Bramble Berry replies...Hi Linda! You're right! Citruses like the Grapefruit Essential Oil are tricky to get to stick in cold process soap. Blending with another fragrance or essential oil can help trickier EOs stick, especially if it's a more of base note used for anchoring. For more tips and tricks check out our How to Prevent Scent Fading in Soap blog post.
As with any grapefruit, this one fades into a light scent in Hot Process soap. I have not tried it in CP soap. I use it a lot in my diffuser and lotions in combination with lavender and it is very popular.
I have used this in CP, and my results great. I barely noticed the discoloration they warn about. When I cut my loaf, the first thing that kisses your nose is this lovely topnote (I had it blended with other scents) it blends beautifully!
This is truly fresh grapefruit, its very strongly, lightly, hardcore citrusy if that makes any sense lol VERY energizing..alot of mornings, instead of drinking coffee, I'd literally walk around with a bottle of this practically huffing the stuff! Best Value and Quality...DEFINATELY!
I like to use this blended with a couple other citrus scents in bath salts and scrubs. It smells so good! I tried it in a blend in CP soap once but it didn't come through unfortunately. I knew that would most likely be the case but wanted to try using a little extra and see. Out of all the scents citruses are my favorite.
