Quality is excellent, smells crisp and wonderful, and works great in cold process soap. Had a lot of fun making candy cane colored soaps for Christmas :)
I also use it in essential oil blends and it does well.
I've used this in multiple CP soaps (and HP soap), and I adore it. It smells delicious, and I love the way it wakes up my skin in the shower. The first and second times I use a peppermint bar of soap in the shower, my skin always has a happy tingly feeling. The scent holds up well in soap.
This is a mild and slightly sweet mint, just like the description says. If you're looking for something that will hit you in the face like a box of a certain curiously strong peppermint, this is not what you want. This is very comforting and almost calming. It goes well with a variety of scents--I'm partial to mixing it ~60/40 with anise or 40/60 with lavender--and it behaves pretty well. I was unsure which peppermint to order and got this one on a whim, and I'm definitely not disappointed.
I absolutely loved this peppermint essential oil. I made candy cane soap for Christmas as gifts. The bars were fabulous! They smelled so wonderful, they were a big hit! I love, love, love this scent! Next year I will be making more than this year!
I seem to be having a peppermint fetish right now. Almost everything I am making has peppermint! I love this scent. I have not had any acceleration issues with it. In CP soap it has a nice minty scent. Not in your face or bold but very much peppermint. In lotion (I make a blend for feet in particular) it is amazing.
