Stevia, White (Bleached)- This is regular all natural stevia that has been bleached white so that it will not affect the final color of your lip balm. It also mixes in easier than the unbleached (green) stevia. This product is sold by weight and is food grade. 1/4 oz. is enough to sweeten over 200 lip balms! Ingredients:Botanical Name: Stevia Rebaudiana PowderCommon Name: Stevia Leaf Powder

I am new to lip balms and tried this product to keep ingredients as natural as possible. The powder is presumably water soluble as it does not seem dissolve in the oil/butter/wax but rather creates a cloudy appearance and settles to the bottom of the double boiler. On the positive side it did not leave a grainy texture nor discolor the balms in any way. My concern is uniformity in the batch. Even with constant stirring, I had used about 1/16 to 1/8 tsp in a 3 oz batch warmed to 120 degrees and could not taste it..nearly all the powder seems to sift down to the bottom. Perhaps there is a better temperature at which to use it? I did add it at the end of all the melting...perhaps add at the beginning? Several small batches have all turned out this way and I would really love to be able to make this product work out better.
Reply from Bramble Berry Hi Rachel! I'm sorry you had troubles incorporating this into your lip balms consistently. In our tests and recipes we had no problems with the Stevia settling to the bottom as evidenced in How to Make Infused Lip Balm on Soap Queen TV. I will email you personally to help troubleshoot!
