Clear Melt and Pour Soap Base - Terrific for creating your own soap without the wait involved with cold process. Melt and pour soapcasting also allows for a wide range of creativity. This clear base is much better than what you'll find at your local craft stores.

I used this clear base as well as the goat milk and they are both wonderful bases to work with. As a beginner, I ordered a few pound of clear base to start. As soon as I got them, I placed another order immediately! And ordered a lot more!! ;) Not having any issues mixing with color blocks but it does seem to harden quicker when using liquid colors. Still love it and will continue to buy more!
This was my first attempt at making soap and the product was great. A little goes a long way. I'll be ordering more when I need it.
I received some of this in a kit Dec 2014 as part of the DIY Handmade Beauty box (loofah soap). I made it and gave the original 6 bars away as "samples" with other orders. Recently (as those originals are now being finished up by the customers) I am getting requests for "the best soap ever" mostly from men. People love the soap and the added loofah feels very nice on the skin.
While I do prefer the Aloe base for all it's additional benefits this is not a bad soap base. Easy to work with and has a very nice feel to it when used. I made the mistake of purchasing soap bases from another vendor hoping to take advantage of the free shipping they offer but it was a huge mistake. Their bases leave my skin feeling waxy and after checking the ingredients list (did that backwards, huh?) I see that BB's is of high quality while "theirs" is chemical. Yuck! I'm back to BB for good.
My skin feels tight but it melts really easily and the color blends in really easily and is easy to clean
Terah from Bramble Berry replies...Hi Dani! I'm so glad you find our Clear Melt and Pour Soap Base easy to use! Though, I'm sorry it makes your skin feel tight. You can try adding extra oils/butters up to 1 tsp per pound of soap to help add some moisture. You may also prefer one of our bases that have other ingredients that promote moisture and softening like the Goat Milk Melt and Pour or the Shea Melt And Pour. I will email you personally to discuss this further.
