Featured Sample Idea Sheet for November 2012
This month's featured sample is Vetyver. It isn't like the essential oil of the same name, but rather a fresh blend with top notes of lemonmiddle notes of floral and Sandalwood and base notes of musk. Nearly every order* shipped out in the month of November will have a little 1/2 ounce sample bottle included. For more details see below. Enjoy!

ONE: Melt the EcoSoya Advanced wax in a heat-safe container. Wax has a super high melting point, so if you’re using a glass container be careful when removing it from the microwave.
TWO: Add 6-8 mL Vetyver Fragrance Oil and mix in well.
THREE: Using the Clean Up Tool, scrape off bits and flecks of the Cobalt Blue Wax Dye block and add to the fragranced wax. Stir until fully melted. To get an idea of what the hardened wax’s color will be like, dip a spoon into your wax and then directly into cold water. If you aren’t happy with the color, add more shavings. I probably used about 2-3 Tablespoons worth of shavings.
FOUR: Use the spoon to dribble a bit of the wax into the base of the Candle Jar. Stick the wick in the wax.
FIVE: When the wax has cooled to 145-155 degrees, pour the wax into the container. Use the pencils or chopsticks to center the wick.
SIX: Allow the wax to fully cool. Trim the wick to about 1/4” and enjoy!
TIP: If the top of your candle has divots or is otherwise uneven, this is usually a sign that the candle was poured a wee bit too hot. Easy fix! Just use a heat gun to melt just the top of the candle and allow it to harden again.
