Description

Silicone Liner for 18 Bar Mold: No measuring, cutting or tapping here.  We custom made this extra durable silicone liner to fit our 18 Bar Birchwood Mold and it fits Perfectly.  Just plop it in for a quick, seamless liner that will make unmolding 18 bars of soap a breeze!  This mold liner was made to fit the inside dividers without using the plastic side panels included with the 18 Bar Birchwood Mold.

Dimensions: 12-5/8" (Length) X 9-1/4" (Width) X 2-1/2" (Height)

We recommend hand washing all of your molds and pieces to make sure they last a lifetime.

Note: This mold liner is not stable on its own and must be used inside an 18 Bar Birchwoodmold to work properly. The 18 Bar Birchwood mold must be purchased separately. Due to the height of the liner we have found that to make the lid fit you need to flip it over to the flat side.

*This liner will fit 18 Bar Birchwood Molds purchased from the beginning of 2013 until present. If your 18 Bar Birchwood Mold was purchased before 2013, this liner will not fit due to updates to the 18 Bar Birchwood Mold

Love it, but a bubble?
I love this mold for my large wood 18 bar mold (From Brambleberry). I have used this about 10 times so far the the soap comes out so nicely. However, now I notice that it's almost stretched out? When I put it in the wood mold, the middle of the liner bubbles up in the middle and won't fit properly. Almost like the bottom has stretched out. I hand wash and just put on the counter flat to dry so I'm not sure if I did something. It there a way to fix this? Now when I pour my soap, the middle is higher than the rest.

Hi Angela! I'm sorry this liner wasn't your favorite. We've found it creates a smooth bottom, as seen in this Tile Inlay Cold Process Soap Tutorial. I'll be emailing you personally to resolve this!

Must have!
Very handy tab, skintight to the bottom of the mold, perfectly compatible with the wooden form. The only one minus, when it is inside the top of wooden mold is not closed.

This woulld be an excellent liner...
...if it fit my 18 bar mold. When I went to "plop" it into the mold, it was apparent that it was not going to fit. I contacted BB about this and they informed me that they had at some point in the past few years changed the dimensions on the 18 bar mold and that mine was the "older" model and the liner will not fit. There was not (and still is not) a disclaimer to this effect on the product description - had there been I would have known mine was older and not ordered the liner. Not a big deal, return it, right? Well, no, BB will not pay return shipping, even though I ordered the product in good faith and really wanted it. Sigh. Please check your dimensions and if you bought your 18 bar mold direct from BB, check with them that you have the right model so the liner would fit and you won't have to eat return shipping like me. :(

Lovely, but...
I purchased this liner to make multiple logs, thinking that it was 9 3/4 inches wide inside. Unfortunately, it is not. It is lovely, glossy, and smooth, and I'm certain that it will still make lovely soap, but I am going to have to rethink how to cut it.

Hi Karen! When we list the dimensions of our molds, we list the dimensions of the whole mold and not just the interior (unless otherwise specified). If you ever have a question about any of our molds, feel free to contact us using our Live Help option on our website!

Love this liner!
I love this liner! My 18-bar birchwood mold has become my go-to mold. I make milk soaps exclusively, so I avoid loaf molds (except for rebatching soap). Using this makes lining the mold a snap, cleanup is a breeze, and the liner is holding up great. I also like that this liner is quite thick, and sturdy, so the edges don't flop over the top of the soap. All my soaps are frozen for 24-48 hours before unmolding, and pop right out, with a beautiful smooth finish.
